Walgreens Men’s Clear Shampoo Deal

clearshampoo

Walgreens has Men’s Clear Shampoo for only $4.99 with peelie coupons that can be used right then for $3.00 off one. Making it only $1.99 for one!

If that deal isn’t good enough for you, some stores may have them on clearance for $3.49. Add the $3.00 peelie coupon and that is only $.49! That’s stock up price!

Courtany (our extreme couponer) works at Walgreens and her store has the shampoo at the clearance price. Let us know if you found the clearance deal and what store it was at!

EDIT: I was just checking my iBotta app on my phone and realized that I have a $.75 cent coupon on there for Clear Shampoo! Making this deal even better! Add the 75 cent iBotta and you’ll either pay $.49 cents and earn $.26 after your iBotta rebate or you’ll pay $1.99 (if your Walgreens does not have this product on clearance) and get $.75 back from iBotta making the bottle of shampoo only $1.24.

If you are not familiar with iBotta, it is a great app that pays you to buy products and can be combined with any coupons.

Did anyone get this great deal?!

How Catalina Coupons Work

image

Catalina Coupons are the coupons we get that are printed at the register during check out. I have recently discovered that there are two different types of coupons that print out there; store coupons and manufacturer coupons.

Store Coupons are generally a certain amount off your next purchase at that store. For example, you can not use a Walgreens Register Rewards at Meijer. You may only use them at Walgreens.

Manufacturer Coupons are coupons that are an amount off a certain product normally. These coupons can be used in any store. Like the coupons in the picture above, even though they say “Meijer” above the bar code, by the expiration date they say “Manufacturer CPN”, this means it can be used at any store.

I had NO CLUE that you could do this! I always assumed that if it was printed at Meijer, you used it at Meijer. Or if you got it at Target, you used it at Target, but that is not the case at all. If it says Manufacturer Coupon on it, you can use it anywhere.

So next time Family Fare gives you a coupon like this and that coupon would work great with a deal offered at Meijer, use it there and don’t let it go to waste!

“Extreme Couponer” Match-ups and Savings

My friend, Courtany, agreed to give me some help with the website. She is my go-to deal finder! This girl is always saving money and posting pictures of her FREE shopping trips. And since I just dread having to go through and posting match-ups because I am more of a writer who coupons than a couponer who writes, Courtany will be starting to help out by posting the best deal match-ups for a few different stores every week.

We probably won’t be posting every single store right off the bat. Baby steps! This week we have a few of the best deals for stores like Walgreens and Meijer. I may be able to get you the best deals for Dollar Stores this week as well.

I am hoping that together, Courtany and I can help everyone with their couponing. Along with this and more ideas we have, couponing should begin to become easier for anyone starting out.

Please, welcome Courtany to my site as my Extreme Couponer. Hopefully this new series of postings helps everyone out and their will be more awesome new changes made in our future. If you have any suggestions or ideas on how this blog could be more helpful for goals to live more frugal, please feel free to contact me with all suggestions.

This is a picture of Courtany’s Stockpile. Told you! She knows her stuff!

Extreme couponing, in an UNextreme manner.

As many of you have noticed, I follow other blogs to help me learn more about couponing, free samples, budgeting, and living frugal in general. I was recently checking out The Krazy Coupon Lady checking out what deals they have posted, when I came across some of their recent videos. They were talking about being a couponer without being extreme. They gave advice about not chasing every deal out there all at once because you will probably wear yourself thin and I love that they said that because everyone always thinks you have to shop at every single store to get every single deal out there. Which is totally not the case when looking to save money!

The Krazy Coupon Lady said everyone should pick 3 stores to shop at:

  1. A drug store
  2. Your local grocery store
  3. A supercenter (Kmart, Walmart, Target)

This is going to be my new way of couponing. And it sounds like a great way to save deals without absolutely dreading shopping.

My stores will be Meijer and Walgreens. I will probably be back and forth between Kmart, Target, and Walmart. It depends on what deals I can get each week and how I feel like shopping every week. Kmart doubles coupons every week (up to 5 doubled coupons per transaction) up to $1. i.e. If you have a coupon that is $3 off, it will double up to $1, making the coupon’s value $4. While Walmart price matches, making it convenient to only have to shop at one store. Target just seems to have better deals all together when I compare everything. So I will be trying out all 3 of these stores so I can totally decide which I like the best.

With this, I will add a few more couponing tips and tricks that I’ve picked up along the way:

  1. Don’t clip/print every coupon you see. Only grab the ones you will use. Always look at a coupon and think if you will use that product, if you’ll try that product, or if you could donate the items if you got a good deal.
  2. Keep your coupons organized and weed out expired coupons regularly.
  3. Make a shopping list and know what kind of savings you should be getting.
  4. If you are going to several stores or plan several transactions, have coupons separated into different marked envelopes which you can also use to keep your lists on.
  5. If you organize your coupons in a binder or anything portable, bring it to the store! You never know what is going to be discounted or on clearance at the store until you get there. And a coupon you originally weren’t going to bring could give you that much more savings!

What is the best couponing tip you have picked up? What will you choose as your 3 stores? Which Supercenter do you prefer? Let me know in the comments section.

Don’t forget to follow my blog and like my Facebook page and share it with friends. Don’t forget, I do coupon giveaways and will be doing 2 BIG giveaways when my page gets to 250 and 500 likes!
